I have recently aquired a colony of these amazing twin spotted assasin bugs, i know the basic about these little guys, but i any one has an indepth care guidlines that would be fantastic, maybe i can help someone else out as well. I am a Reptile zoo keeper who is not affraid to admit when i don't know something, which is why i am asking about these bugs.

Cheers guys.

Keep them warm (85 is good) and make sure they are all very well fed. Dont provide a water dish (as small ones will drown), rather mist them heavily 1-2 times per week. Other than that make sure they are in a large well ventilated cage (ventilation is very important) with plenty of horizontal cork bark for molting, and they will do great.

Thanks scolopendra, what are your viwes on substrate, dry peat or sand, i have opted for sand for reasons such as, its more natural, eggs can easily be seen and collected and exo skeletons of food items can be removed easily, what do you think? also do you think the adult animals cannabilise their young, and would you advise keeping nymphs and juvs seperate from adults?

Cheers dude.

I prefer hottentotta sp.

When they have plenty of food they do not eat each other. I keep them on peat (humidity about 70%), temp 20-25*C. How long takes the whole cycle from nymph to imago?
