Cordelia (P. californicus) laid her first egg sac about 1.5 months ago, and the slings have hatched but haven't yet left the sac. She's started constructing what looks like a second egg sac this evening. Is it common for this species (or even jumpers in particular) to double clutch?

Wow! Thanks for the info!
of course! though i will tell you, this genus babies tend to die in captivity. like i mean all of them ;( few have even 1 or 2 survivors. a lot of the time, you just wanna release them right outside after hatching. if you wanted to try to raise them feel free to pm, i have some experience with it.

The slings started to emerge from the egg sac tonight, so I set them free outside in my garden (they're a native species). I found a nice little area nearby and let Cordelia go as well. Such a pleasure to see these little guys hatch!
