A customer at the pet store I work at brought in three plated lizards (Gerrhosaurus major, Gerrhosaurus nigrolineatus, and Zonosaurus quadralineatus) wanting to get rid of them, so I took them. Right now I have them all in separate aquariums with deep cypress mulch for burrowing and basking temps of around 100-105. They also have plenty of UVB, and they're on a diet of crickets, roaches, superworms, greens and some fruit, with the occasional pinky. They get calcium supplements twice a week and vitamin supplements once a week. Can anyone give me some advice for improvement? The only species I have any experience with is G. major, and the previous owner was just about completely ignorant of their needs.

keep a close eye on shedding. the biggest problem ive encountered with them is failure to shed skin on their tails properly, thus the eventual shortening of their tails. i started misting them lightly every day and havent had a problem yet. mine also seem to enjoy lapping up banana baby food.
