I have successfully paired tan jumping spiders (Platycryptus undatus) in the past but did not have much data as I just put them together in a container for a bit and it happened while I did not directly observe.

I have made time this year to indulge in my hobby and currently collected a couple of wild tan jumping spiders.

Right now I have them separated. I want the female to "settle" before introducing the male. They have seen each other before when I was transporting.

Last night I went out and collected another couple from a different location here. I decided to breed them with the ones I collected from my dad's backyard to differentiate blood lines more. I decided I am going to name them and document their lineage. While I am collecting from the wild, I am doing it with conservation in mind and will be releasing a large portion of the offspring in the locations I collected from.

UPDATE: I HAVE BABIES

I think one of the females I collected was gravid. I have not introduced her to a male yet and I noticed what looked like egg sacs a while back. I was not sure if they were fertile or not so I did not put a male in. This morning I checked and I see the tiniest little babies. So cute! I am not sure if my one couple I paired bred yet. I need to do the other pair too. I have been a bit busy lately.
