I just noticed that one of my blue death feigning beetles has a couple of dark pits or gouges in her (I think) back. She’s always been a bit darker than her fellows, which I attributed to the near-constant mounting of her by other BDFBs in the tank, but these are actual indentations. There’s nothing in the tank that could have done this afaik and these beetles in particular are known for having nearly indestructible shells. I’m concerned it may be some sort of rot/fungus?
I’m attaching the best picture I could take. Any ideas would be welcome. 81EE2295-CF6B-492D-AAE7-B31F495D3514.jpeg

It looks normal. You might need more advice but it’s normal to get some bumps or missing parts of limbs. Did you just get the beetle? I assume it’s wild caught so it might have had it before and you might not have noticed.

I’ve had them for a year or so. I just noticed them. I suppose it’s possible I just overlooked them before.,,
