pinkie for Heterometrus

I have a full size heterometrus spinifer. Can I feed it a pinkie mouse? Should I cut back on it's feeding before hand to make sure he's hungry for such a big meal?

When does "feeding" become animal cruelty? Don't get me wrong, I'm not an anti-hunting, PETA member. But torturing animals is not cool.

Is that a heterometrus spinnifer? That rat is twice it's size!! Fantastic, I say!! Let the fasting before the feast begin. How long does it take to eat the rat? Does it eat the whole thing? I say again, FANTASTIC!!!

And it's not animal cruelty. It's nature at it's finest. Just like Elton John sang "It's the ciiiiiircle of liiiiife". Mother Nature can be a bitch sometimes. I find it's best to be on her side, than in her way.

When does a Scorp in Nature catch a Rat this Size ? Ok, Mother Nature could be really a Bitch, right, but a Rat ???
A Mouse is fine as well ! It is killed faster, and a mouse couldn't hurt the Scorp like a rat!
Hm, i don't know...

listen, rats can inflict very large wounds on people, a scorpion like h.spinifer would stand nearly no chance against a fully awake rat...

I Belive that the rat was already knocked out or dead , proably knocked out , The rat would of put up a much better fight against that Asian Forrest Scorpion , If that Rat was infact alive its teeth would have proably had to be taken out or it would of done damage to the scorpion , I dont belive any animal cruelty took place ...

Ive never knocked out a rat or a mouse , but i would think if i did feed my scorpions rats or mice , i would knock it out before i let a fairly non-venomous scorpion tourture it .. But either way i really dont care , its just a rat ...

Iam not saying a rat is any different then any other animal BUT if you are gonna feed your Scorpions Mice or Rats , I would knock them out very quickly before i let my scorpion touture it .. Classify it however you want .. Lets talk about scorps and more important issues ..

Well you must only have HOT scorps that kill the cricket within a few seconds , because my hadrurus's , Emperors , Tri-colors , love to torture there prey and eat them bottom first , wich they can be alive in the mouth for over 20 mins .. My point is ,,, your throwing in an animal or insect that will be killed one way or another , its all torture , but its just part of the food chain ..
