I have a 2" Avic in a plastic 1 Gal. container upside down. Looks cool , but anyway ... I have a good amount of fake silk plants so he/she can climb. My Avic Versi has webbed her/his plants to hell and back. My pink toe hasnt webbed anything. Dont avics in general build web tunnels? Am I doing something wrong? Humidity is somewhat damp on the substrate ... and she/he has a water dish. They are climbers right? Thanks For Any Info ! ! !

How long have you had it in the container? Ive had my A. Urticans in a container for about 6 weeks, and it hasnt started to web until today, and it was only a few strips from the side to top of the cage. But they arent obligated webbers.. so i dunno:?

We recently put some new plants in with all of our arboreals. Some of them have utilized the new greenery, but they all did it at different times. One of our A. avics built a web on it, but has spent the last week walking around. They are all different.

If the spider is feeding it will be okay, when it comes to molt it will build its web more than likely!some build them straight away others wait till they are going to molt!

It is perfectly fine. It will be build a web when it's ready, most likely when it is close to a molt. The container you have it in is plenty big enough for the size of your T.

I put my A. metallica in a new container and it didn't do any webbing for 3 months. When it got close to a molt, then it made itself a web. Now thats it has molted, it dosen't spend half its time in the web, it just stays on the side of the container.

I've noticed that they web when they're "bored". In the case of both my A. Avic and my P. Irminia - neither of them did much webbing, and I kept them regularly fed.

After a week or two of no food, I noticed both of them get all gung-ho on the web building. I didn't feed them for about another week or so, but by that time they had built quite the tube web.

So......if you want them to web, make sure they have water - but try stopping the food supply for a while....

My plain old A. avic does not web much til molting time comes along, otherwise it sits on it's cork bark. Yours is just fine.
