First off, this is coming from the world's worst fisherman with 3 week's fishing experience. Im spending some time over the summer on a property my family owns in the Adirondacks, upstate NY. With the help of some friends, I pulled this guy out of the water a few days ago. It was 41" about 12 pounds (estimated) and tastes freaking delicious. Im not holding it, as this picture was taken before I smashed it in the head with a 2x4 and it has very large teeth.

$5 massive surf rod from a garage sale, a huge silver spoon (still in the side of the mouth in the picture) and wire.

WOW!! How fun!! We catch Northerns in Lake Powell! DANG theyre fun!! Too much slime on them though. Kind of gross.

Got myself a certified 41.3 inch and 16.5 lbs perch this summer (no pictures yet). I threw it away emediatly after... depending on the allready too warm water ours taste like crap in late summer.
