I always wanted to have carrier pigeons but I'm too short on patience.
I've heard they're really smart and actually cool pets. How do you like them so far?
Congrats on your egg too

When I was around 10 years old, a giant carrier pigeon showed up at our house. We caught him, which was extremely easy. His name tag said his name was "Lou". We kept him for a few weeks, and payed a lot of attention to him. Finally we drove him about 15 miles away to a old dirt road and let him go. The next day he was back at our house. We let him free roam and loved him being around. Finally one day he flew off and never came back. Was an awesome experience.

We have a pair of wood pigeons living in our backyard, does that count? They come and tap on the window to demand food, which we of course provide. I even bought some pigeon seed for them, with corn. They love corn.
