Pics of Phormictopus Sp (no positive ID)

I bought this as a P.cancerides....and I dont believe this is what this Sp is.....many other members don't think so either.....some think it may be....... P. cubensis, P. platus, or P. auratus, wich may be all the same Sp.....any guess as to what this is......rob

Why start a new thread, when you already have THIS ONE?
and THIS ONE... both with good information in them.

Anyway, no one can claim to have P. platus in the hobby, for reasons I stated in one of the above threads.

P. cubensis looks nothing like that. I've never seen anyone (at least in the U.S.) post a picture of P. cubensis (you can see a picture of this species in the recent revision).

What you "may" have is P. auratus. There are good characters to look for to try and confirm this ID if you get a molt. My offer stands to help you with this.

My other thread did have great info and I appreciate everyones info & input....someone private messaged me and told me to take pics without a flash (top 3) but I included them all.....thanks for your help.....rob:)
