<Dan>Due to a violent tendancies, our skilled cameraman is limited, almost entirely, to one vantage point... let's see what happens, Jim.

<Jim> YOU'RE right, DAN! It looks like we have a WINNER tonight! Did somebody say these things tasted like salty chicken?

<Dan> Shut up, Jim.

Next up we have a timid, yet ultimately a distance-running, Cyriopagopus thorelli/schiodtei:

Nice! What kind of toad was that? Did you just catch it in the yard and feed it or what?!

Yeah, it's what they call a "Fowler's toad" though I don't know who "Fowler" is nor why he has so many toads. Anyway, I live near a natural revine out in the sticks of Indiana and every year around this time the young toads about 1" to 1/5" start hopping all over the place and sometimes even in the garage.

The Ts don't complain, though.

Very nice pics and T's.

Was your A. seemani able to polish off that good sized frog?

Yeah, he polished it off - all that's left now is a bolus about the size of a larger-than-average raisin. It takes each T about an entire day to finish off the meal.

In the A. seemani's case, he is so unbelievably plump at this point that I don't think I'll be feeding him for quite some time. The G. rosea started out looking amazingly over weight from all the froggy goodness, but he has since "eased" into his meal and look very well proportioned.

You don't worry about the toads' poisonous secretions? I would think using toads as feeders could be harmful to the T's. Cool pix tho.
