I got a baby snow cornsnake, and it will not eat. I tried feeding it the tiniest live pinkie I could find but it wasn't interested at all. Any ideas of what I could do to get her to eat something?
Please and thank you!

Where did you get it? What was it eating before you got it? How long have you had it, when was the last meal, what's the enclosure/temps like, is it being handled a lot, etc?

This will narrow down the problem massively, otherwise any suggestions are just taking shots in the dark. :)

If you just got your cornsnake you should let it settle in for a week if you had it for a week already try feeding at night you should get a better response or it could be ready to hibernate (brumate) it is this time of the year they start to refuse feeding can't be sure unless you post more info.

Get a anole and rub it around on the pinkies face, some hatchlings can be picky about eating mice. I keep a frozen anole just for problem feeders, I cut a very small piece of skin from it and stick it to the pinkies nose.
I seem to think you have crested geckos? if so you can also try a piece of shed from them.

I say you should give it some time before trying to feed it anything.

Some animes require more adaptive time than others, give it some time and try again.

I got it at the reptile expo in portland.. That was about two weeks ago now. It was labeled as a picky eater, but it is so pretty, and I don't mind the hassle. It doesn't get handled too often... maybe five minutes once or twice a week. The people I got it from told me that it will only eat live day old pinkies. Tried that, didn't work.
Thanks for the help!

Put it in the feeding container with a top alone with the mouse.

That's what I did and it ate.

I got a baby corn snake too ;)

yeah try a feeding container and put it somewhere dark thats how I got my tiny milksnake to eat and you shouldn't hold your cornsnake for a couple weeks to let it settle in holding it would only strees it more.

I'll try putting it in the dark and see if that works... I really don't hold her that much, but I'll not do it for awhile before I try feeding again.
Thanks for the help guys!

just leave it with the pinkies for a day..i have done this many times with picky eaters.
sometimes it just takes a day or so of being left 100% alone with the food.:)
