So I go into my LPS today to pick up some coco fiber as soon as I walk in the door the owner says hey I got the spider for you. Turns out to be an H. Lividum not owning a Haplo and having the spider right there to take home turned out to be to much of a temptation. Even with the 59 dollar price tag.

All they ever have normally is rosies and bohemei so I seen it as a one time chance, that and there really clueless when it comes to Ts even though there not afraid to ask me if they have a question and are generally nice people. Hopefully I'll get some picks but it wasn't in a setup that allowed it to burrow so my main concern is getting it in the house.

Nice snag! I love mine. She too eats like a dumpster and is out on a daily basis even though she has a burrow. I would say that for that reason maybe keeping in a typical rectangular setup may best the cereal container idea. She's always out being active and if she didn't have somewhere to explore I'd never see her. Anyway. Hope this helps! There are some good pics in my pic thread linked in my signature just to keep you stoked!

Nice looking T! I keep mine in a rubbermaid container with around 15" of sub. I like those a bit better than the cereal container because I've noticed they tend to prefer to make an angled burrow. If you cover whichever side they made their burrow on with black paper they won't web up the sides as much.

Thanks All.

I've currently got it in a Sterilite Showoff while I do not currently own a true burrower I had a few of these made up for one incase the urge ever hit me. This is one of the spiders I own where there defensiveness is not really understated already surprised me once already when moving it in the enclosure.

Yea my female is a terror.. she's calmed a bunch down from when I rescued her from an area LPS and she's always out and hasn't once tried to burrow.

I lend this to the very improper care the LPS had her in (wood chips and a half log hide) but nevertheless she appears happy and content.

They are beautiful T's if you have one that shows from the typical "pet hole" :D
