I think, couldn't find a pic on the internet. Just thought it was an interesting pic. Can anyone here confirm they are Phorid fly eggs?

Aren't phorid flies parasitic? I thought the eggs needed to be inside the host to grow.

As for the eggs, I've not noticed them before.

The flies apparently lay eggs on the dead insects in our cages, though other parasitic insect species will lay their eggs on the outside of the host animal. I actually had an outbreak of these today from a single dead roach unnoticed in my death's head roach bin. Here is a video I shot some while back of the maggots ensuing from dead Blaptica dubia roaches. I'm currently eating a salami sandwich, but some of you may wish to put your food down, at least momentarily. ;)
