hello have a slight concern with a phidippus regius egg sac. So about 2 months back a local pet store had an adult female phidippus regius and after the first month and half or so it laid an egg sac which I understand is very common in wild caught specimens. Here is my concern. I noticed today that mom has passed away at the bottom of the enclosure and I’m seeing some activity in the sac itself I’m seeing little specs but no actual movement so I’m assuming molts. Will I need to open this sac myself or will the slings be able to emerge on their own?

They should be able to emerge on their own. If there is ton of movement after molts and they don't seen to be coming out, you can make a tiny hole or help them with a small paintbrush...but they should be able to find their way out easily.

The slings should emerge on their own! Make sure that air holes are blocked so they do not escape all over your house!

At this point I’m not seeing movement just debris I guess

These are the holes in the deli container I bought it in. I never got a chance to rehouse it before it laid the egg sac. Do you guys think these holes could promote escape? IMG_2418.jpeg

Those holes could be problematic, as jumper slings are very tiny. All you need to do is put tape over them or grab a new lid for the same size container at Whole Foods.

Is it a 32oz deli cup?
