Personally, I have had P. audax egg sacs hatch in as little as a week! Usually about two or three weeks, though. :) You will see the sac darken noticeably, as the spiders go through their first moult within.

hmmm

Really depends on temperature. My room was quite cool and it took 3 weeks. I was panicking 'cause I thought they were infertile - usually 2 weeks(?)

I'm really kicking myself for not writing down dates as i noticed progress on my audax's eggsac. It took roughly 4-5 weeks from the time of spinning the nest to the day the hatchlings were emerging on their own and ready to move out. It was 2 weeks at least before i noticed any change in the sac, and knew it must be fertile. I checked it twice a day by shining a flashlight through the webbing- after a time there were little black spots speckled on the inside.
