Peruvian Loxosceles ????

I found this spider here in Peru yesterday. It looks very similar to L reclusa. It even has the violin on the carapace. Anyone have any idea what it is?

What's the leg span like? What about leg pattern (longest to shortest)?

Hey Dave,

They are about 1.5 inches in legspan.

Lelle, They do have 6 eyes and it is Loxosceles laeta for sure.

Hmm, could be laeta. From what I've seen and read though, the carapace marking in the female is a long triangle, not a violin. See these pics:

The black/ red coloration is not inconsistent with L. laeta however. In any case it is definitely Loxosceles sp. Nice find!

Yeah all I know for sure it is a Loxosceles sp. It has the typical 6 eyes
