Tonight I caught about six (2 adult and several juv) P.americana at the woodland park zoo near my house and I was wondering if they have any certain requirements for breeding. I've heard that they need to be kept very humid or they wont reproduce. Is this true, or a total load of crap? I thought they bred like crazy under almost any conditions? I forgot to mention that they are currently in a tall deli cup with a peice of egg-carton and a liberal amount of vasoline around the rim. If anybody can tell me how they keep them it would be much appreciated.

they do need high humidity
thats why it is not a pest specie in the plains and where i live but they are where you are
if you get them to make oothecae i will buy some since all my oothecae died
if you have a 40 gallon tank that has a tight fitting lid with 1/16th inch screen you can have a very good setup with plant and stuff lol

thanx froggy
