what are these..... are these the small "mouth claws"? or are they the claws themselves? also, what is the proper term for the claws (if it isnt pedipalps)

pedipalps is the whole "arm" i think,
the claw is called the chela (i claw - 1 chela)

edit: the mouth claws are the chelicerae

thanks for clearing that up for me :)

the chelicerae have to be the coolest part on a scorpion, the way they just shuve the cricket into the mouth, cutting it up aswell :)

eh, i said "i think" about the pedipalp, i could be wrong,

just checked it on google, and i can confirm, the pedipalp is the whole arm :)

No the chelicerae are the small claws that chew the food located above the scorpions "mouth". Scorpion anatomy is tough, too many long words to spell :) .

What you can do is kinda compare the scorpion's anatomy to a t. The t's pedipalps look almost like an extra pair of legs, but smaller. And's its also located enar the jaw, just like that of a scorpian

Why can they just call it "mouthclawious" and "Handclawious" tail "Tailious" It would be so much easier. LoL
