So my h.lividum, Reina, hadn't eaten since I got her in November. I had grown very concerned until the day I discovered an exuvium laying in her burrow (she's loves me so much that she burrowed next to the glass :D ). Well, it had been another 2 months since she molted and still the entrance to her burrow had been sealed off. Well, over the weekend I plopped a mealworm up against the webbing of the burrow, just to see if she was hungry yet and sure enough, she poked her mouth through and snatched it! But still, her burrow was sealed.
Well don'tcha know this morning, I thought something looked odd in her tank so I looked and I saw a gaping hole! She FINALLY has opened up her burrow and it looks so cool!!! So I think I'm going to treat her with a nice, juicy roach tonight. :D
After 4 months of complete inactivity, she finally is ready to be the vicious turd she's supposed to be! {D

Thats very interesting. I have yet to get any species that is an obligate burrower. I am to afraid it would burrow in such a way that I would never see it.
