Parasteatoda Tepidariorum isn't eating

I've taken in a P. Tepidariorum.

She hasn't eaten. I've tried giving her a mini mealworm on several different occasions now and even if it's close to her she won't go for it, she will just start laying down more silk in her enclosure for some reason. Her mealworm even had time to molt it's way out of her silk through the night at one point. Sometimes it seems like she'll feel it move and take interest, but she'll just walk right by the dang thing, silk line in tow, and just lay more down.

Also, if anyone has advice on more easily and effectively sticking mealworms into tangle webs, that'd be wonderful. They have smooth exoskeletons and are surprisingly great escape artists, unfortunately.
