Not to rain on your parade, but I am fairly certain that is not P. scrofa. I have two AF P. scrofa, they are much more pinkish and coppery and have a mirror patch on the opisthosoma. Maybe the picture isn't capturing those superficial traits well but it surely looks alot like another nice, dwarf T than it does P. scrofa.

I have what is in the picture as well- Euathlus sp. "red/orange/yellow/flame" which IMO is a better spider anyway. Not that P. scrofa is at all bad, I just think the Euathlus is prettier and easier to work with (possibly more valuable as well, my P. scrofa were only $20.00, both purchased as adult females). Obviously I enjoy both so I own them both. Might be another species of Euathlus even or maybe completely other genera, I just think it's not P. scrofa. Way too black.

At any rate, congrats. It's a very snappy looking spider, I'm sure you'll be happy.

I hope Jamie weighs in on this. Euathlus are cool, but I ordered a Paraphysa.

Jamie? Any thoughts?

Nice spider, but that is not scrofa ,unless that picture is terrible. Are the sides of the abdomen white-ish colored?

Just checked with Jamie, and my spider is, to the best of her knowledge and confidence, a Paraphysa scrofa. I am inclined to agree, upon reviewing her photos of her Euathlus sp. "red" and Paraphysa scrofa. For one, the red setae pattern is wrong for Euathlus and right for her Paraphysa scrofa. Another point is that the abdomen is too oblong to be Euathlus, but just right for Paraphysa scrofa.

I trust Jamie's judgment here without question. She's an excellent dealer and an asset to the hobby.

If that is the case then those pics REALLY make it look a hell of a lot different.

And those are Euathlus, correct? The spinnerets are noticeably red there. My spider has black spinnerets.

Also of note are the copper highlights and striping on the spider in question's legs that don't show up in that picture, as well as a copper sheen that doesn't show up on the carapace in the photo. Also not pictured are the whitish tan abdominal sides.

Are there any other special aesthetic qualities that apply only to Paraphysa?
