This thing is a beast!
Experimentally, I tried filling a small glass jar with dried fern and water crystals.
I will fill the jar once a week with water, then drain it, so as not
to over-humidify the enclosure. As you can see, the scorpion
will stick its head into the jar and obtain moisture as necessary,
yet the overall environment will remain arid, as the jar's moisture
is somewhat confined. Another benefit is that the scorpion won't
fill the jar with sand/substrate, as it easily would with a dish of water
or water crystals.
