Hello everyone! Just wanted to show off my PVO pair that I recently received. The first picture is one of my male and the second one (on the small driftwood piece) is the female. I’m wondering how to tell the difference between the two though. I’ve watched a video from the Spider-Man about his PVO pair that he thought was a male and female but turned out to be two males. So I’m honestly just curious how to tell that the female is a female and that the male is a male. Their pedipalps look about the same to me, but they are either 5 or 6 instar. Any help is appreciated. I’m also planning to put them on a sand and excavator clay mix here pretty soon. I’ve only had them for two days, so pretty much any info you guys can give me will be helpful!

Hi. Yes I was the one who confirmed the q males for Spiderman lol.

Only way to sex immature Parabuthus is by getting a view of their pectine..once mature they show some physical differences in the shape of the claws.

Mature females have slender claws and males have . What i like to call "boxing gloves"

Attached is a male for reference WaterMark_2019-05-24-13-40-11.jpg

Lol small world. Thank you! I had a suspicion that it had to do with them not being mature enough to tell yet
