I just got thru mating my other female P transvaalicus. It was hilarious to watch as usual LOL. So hopefully there will be more P trans babies in a few months. I'm telling you all, breeding these things is a blast. This is what makes this hobby so fun.

In this photo the male is dropping the spermataphore

Here is the spermataphore. The break up was violent and I had to remove the male.

Great stuff as usual, I can't wait until mine are of breeding age. I'm loving keeping these, they pretty much take care of themselves as long as there's food and heat, their fearless attitude is great too.

Yeah the instars will attack large prey items for their size

Can the male and female be kept together - or must they be only together for mating. Another thing, my female is not nearly as fat as the one in the pic. Should I wait till she fattens up.

She was neglected for her whole life of 2 years. The previouse owner was afraid of her and only fed her about 10 times in the past 2 years. When I recieved he she had not been fed in over 5 months.

I have had her about 2 months now and treat her like a queen. She gets all of the crickets, mealworms and roaches she can eat.

She is very active at night - always looking for food.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks a million,

Tom

This mating was done almost a year ago and I had to remove the male because she acted aggressive toward him. Oddly enuff this time she is tolerating him and they have been together for about 2-3 months already. Yours will fatten up if you mate her and feed her alot

Feed her 2-3 crickets a week for awhile
