Great looking T. I have two P. platyomma slings and they are two of my favorites. Yours looks about the same size. They all seem to have the nice x-mas tree markings on their butts. (How seasonal!) {D

There maybe hope one day of finding a Pamphobeteus.sp that retains it's sling/juv abdominal pattern into adult life as Avicularia minatrix does in avic's who knows.

I'm a major fan of Pamphos. I collect these and blondis. I have 5 platyomma, 1 Ecuador sp. 1, 1 Ecuador sp. 2, 2 antinous, and 1 nigricolor. Where did you get your Ecuador? Only one dealer has Ecuador sp. 1, so I am just curious.

Which dealer are you refering to? The sp. "Ecuador" sold by Botar, Swift, Jason Wong are all "sp. 2" as far as I'm aware, regardless of what you've been told. I know Todd Gearheart had another "sp. Ecuador" (looks like P. nigricolor) for sale other than "sp. 2"... is that who you're refering too?

Yeah. You are right on the button. I don't like to refer to dealers if I don't have to... but since you already did... Yeah, Todd said his was a dead ringer for nigricolor. I guess we'll see. I hope so, and I hope mine turns out to be male so I can breed my damn female nigricolor.

Cool, there's a crapload of sp. "Ecuador" in Europe... but it's mainly what's being refered to as "sp. 2" that's been on U.S. lists the past couple years. Some lists have simple refered to them as sp. "Ecuador", but they've all been "sp. 2".

I didn't say they were the same, you cut off my sentence in your quote, which changes the meaning of the whole sentence.

CB offspring of all the other types have not been for sale in the US that I'm aware of. All the spiderlings sold over here as sp. "Ecuador" have been the same stuff (sp. 2) except for a few sold by Todd.

There may be a few select individuals here in the US with other "Ecuador" species in their private collections, but this is not what's been on dealers lists, which is what I'm refering to.

Sorry. My mis-understanding.

Pamphobeteus sp.

This particular sling was procured from Botar last spring at the Indianapolis Show. :)

This is the beauty I purchased from Botar last spring. Growing like weed and eating everything I drop in there with gusto. Plump and happy. :)
