My T's venom seems to have stopped coming out, but some of it dripped onto it's palps. Will this harm my T in any way.

Lots of my T's "drool" from the mouth in very warm conditions - I've never found out why but I assume it's something to do with hydration.
When doing this they often hold their palps under the chelicerae (this also happens with a nematodes infection, but then you get nasty white stringy goo and inability to eat as well)

Is it a male tarantula? Do you see hooks on the front legs? You you see a trampled web in its terrarium?

That could be sperm that you're seeing not venom.

You would find the hooks on the front pair of walking legs. the palps will look swollen and like a boxing glove.

From what I've heard, not all Ts have tibial spurs. What kind of T is it?

Just look for bumps on the front most legs.

thanks. My T doesn't seem to have any appendages like that. I'll keep you posted. Will the information that i'll have had my T for 3 years on the 27th of October help?

Harry,

what kind of tarantula is it that you are refering to? Because it is hard to see the hooks on Avicularia species.

Here's a picture that Rob's Tigger posed for a few minutes ago. It shows his hooks off very well. It's a C.fasciatum male
