ok so i just got done pairing my Avicularia avicularia. i just went and picked up a male about and hour ago. the male is got to be the smallest male ive ever saw! he is barely 3.5 inches!

but he didnt mess around, as soon as i put him in he was ready to do he deed! crazy drumming from both male and female(which she actually threw herself at him) she drumed so hard it was rediculous.

anyway so now only time will tell. here are some pics.

Little males

The little guys seem to make great lovers. My little avic avic male was tiny, not even 3.5", but she totally loved him. He wooed her and she threw herself at him too! Good luck on the sac, hopefully it turns out for ya!

lol...actually both of them are very calm. the female has never been cranky once! she might let you hug her

last year she molted on Xmas day too. this year she molted on my birthday! ive had her for about 4 years now.

lol...

no, to be honest...i barely had the male through my front door when i paired them.

i got him from matt(Mobugguy) or something like that...i met him and after a 40 min drive i came home, took the little dude out of his deli cup and put him in. he instantly started shaking and drumming. thank continued for about 1 min before my girl started drumming back so loud my wife could hear her in the other room! she came up and threw herself on top of him. he is a tuff little guy! because he held all her weight basically in an upright position. and she is huge compared to him. she is probly 5.5 inches. he is 3.5.

yeah, my guy just finished a sperm web about 2 hours ago, so tomorrow after work i plan on round 2.

im still hoping to get a few more males..like a versicolor and a L. violeceopes!( i problly spelt that wrong)

I really hope you do the L.violaceopes. I love the females of that species and wish for more to be about in the hobby. If I could, I'd get 5-10 slings!

I can't really blame you for mispelling the scientific name (not sure if you did or didn't - I'm too lazy right now to check). I'm sure latin isn't your first language, most people here know what you're talking about, and I need to frequently check on my own spelling of names.

yeah, im hoping i find a male sometime soon. i have a very nice female for one if so. and i usually do spell scientific names right..but right now, im being lazy. as i took some medication for sleeping problems, and its hitting me pretty hard!

ok so as i said, i got off work today and paired them again. this time was just as easy with the same results...he drummed, she drummed back, and then they did their thing!
