Hello everybody!
I've paired my C. Versicolor on January for the first time. After that, i paired her again every week or so until i've reached a total of 10 times, since i'm not sure the male was ever really capable of inserting, she was very receptive each time, which might not be a good sign. Now almost 5 months have past and there is still no egg-sac... Is that normal? Everywhere i look i see reports of 1-2 months max!! Is something wrong with my female/male?? Pls share your experiences!

Pairing is the easy part. Females will only drop an eggsack if they have enough resources to create one and the environmental parameters are conducive to rearing young.

Their reproductive strategy isn't the same as mammals. They store sperm and fertilize the eggs as the eggsack is being created, so it's the females call if and when to reproduce. As the hobbyist, you need to figure out what those parameters are and how to achieve them in your enclosure of choice.

Yes, I've been doing extensive research on breeding C. elegans, I learned that they breed during the beginning of the dry season, which is actually the wettest time of year where they are from. Keeping around 80° is a must for the females to think it's time to breed.
I don't know much about breeding C. versi, but I agree with l4nsky about finding those parameters

If she drops one or molts, you will have a confirmation :) sometimes things are a waiting game, not an exact understanding of everything that is possibly going on.

Just try to recreate natural parameters. Have a “dry season” or a “wet season”. I got pretty quick drops from my P.Pulcher and T. Albo fiddling with the temperature and humidity. Obviously this isn’t scientifically backed and is just personal experience but just a thought.
