Hi invert enthusiasts. im having my flat painted quite soon and am concerned that the fumes will harm/kill my inverts. have lots of different types of invert. will prob be gloss and emulsion as the entrance hall to my flat has been done and the smell is still there although its not well ventilated in that hallway. aware that paints contain carcinogens. hoping someone can help/give advice. tia. paul.

I witnessed a horror story on another site. A keeper lost her entire collection when the floors were redone in another room. The adhesive in the linoleum they laid. I do mean her entire collection, species I would kill for and can't pronounce.

She never replied giving me permission to share here, and I'm yet to see anything by her, but I told her when she was ready she should come share here. My heart still breaks for her.

Be mindful you aren't running central air until well after the paint has cured.

Ironic we often don't mind living in it ourselves before things have completely cured and gassed off haha

Do you have relatives that will keep them until the project is done?

Yes, you gotta make sure the critters are safe. Good luck Paul!
