I was sleeping earlier and woke up to my 4" Pacman croaking pretty load. I got up to check on him and he seemed to be okay. He was burried under the bed a beast. Is it normal for them to do this? Do you think this individual is large enough to mate and is making these noises b/c of it? He/she has done it before, but only when I'm in the room, or am talking near by...

Yep, he's okay. Mine just spouted off a few minutes ago. Like Moose said, it's supposed to be a sign that they are healthy and content in their environment. Of course, that only works for males, the females do not call as far as I know.

Sometimes I can trick mine into calling by playing this YouTube video and turning up the sound a bit. It doesn't work very often, though. Give it a try if he is in the same room as your PC.

Your pacman is fine! It's just a male doing a little singing :)

That's cool! I wish I could tell what sex mine is. I think it's a female but it's only about 3" so it's hard to tell.

I just gave my guy a bath and he croaked up a storm, it was so cool. I guess he loves baths! :D

Take that as good sign your male might be able to breed if you so desire. :)

Males are smaller than females...I recall about 5 inches for the males and significantly bigger for the females.
