I've had my 2-3 month old pacman frog for roughly a month and they tend to spend a majority of their time burrowed, only coming out to eat. They haven't refused a meal from me but I haven't actually seen any poop in their enclosure yet. I'm not sure if maybe they already pooped while burrowed and I can't tell? I have them soaking in their water dish to encourage it but they still haven't passed anything.

I've had one a little over a year, and I honestly don't understand them. I give mine a bath 90 degrees in dechlorinated water usually once a week for about 30 minutes, but I almost never have seen him poop. I do keep springtails in the enclosure. I just switched to biodude substrate, because apparently you should be switching out the substrate every other week or more if you use cocofiber, since their waste will be absorbed into it. I'm going to build him a bioactive soon, but he will go long periods of time without food, which is weird. I mostly only do hornworms or earthworms, but he had been refusing. Most recently I fed him a frozen thawed pinky mouse and he took that. I've only done that the one time recently though.

The way I was always advised to tell was to feel the sides of the frog where the intestines are. If it’s hard, then the frog may be impacted, if not then your frog is fine. If it’s not eating a ton of substrate then it should be fine though.
