At what size does the difference in coloration between males and females start to appear in this species? Also, what are some "hints" that one may have a male or female, aside from examining a molt? I've been trying to ventrally sex my new acquisition but am finding it difficult, so I was curious if there were other methods aside from examining a molt. I know that sexually dimorphic coloration appears early on with some other Poecilotheria species, but I couldn't find much info about this species in particular.

There are no hints w/this genus. You can sex them as small as 1.5" at times, using the "dot method", before you ask me-- google first, and tell us what you learned.

Yes, I am aware of this, and suspect that I have a male, but it was difficult to get a good look and unfortunately I only have a cell phone camera so the photo I posted in the epiandrous fusillae gallery is a little blurry. I was just curious if dorsal sexing was possible with this species, and at what size males begin to show a more brownish coloration. The coloration of mine looks female, and the furrow looks female, but I think I may have seen a triangle so I'm not really sure (only remotely visible with strong light). I was just wondering.
