My feistey little P. irminia sling molted yesterday. It grew to 2.25" (.75" growth from last molt), and is too big for the little 8 oz. spice jar that has been it's home for the last two months. Man, these things grow fast!!! I ran all over today looking for a inexpensive 1 Gallon something-or-other, and found a Sterelite 16 Cup tall container. Measures about 5.5" x 5.5" x 9", and features a locking lid. Not as clear of a container as I'd like, but it works.
Ventilation: 12 1/8" holes drilled on the front, as well as the left and right sides for cross-ventilation. Two rows of four holes up top, and one row of four below. The holes are spaced an inch apart. 12 1/8" holes were drilled in the lid as well.
Substrate: 2" of coco-fiber, sloping down to 1.5" at the front of the enclosure.
Decor: Bark for a hide, branch for climbing, live Pothos and Philodenderon plants, and a 1 oz condiment cup for a waterdish.

And the occupant:
The enclosure took less than an hour to make, and the spider transferred in less than 30 seconds. At the rate the little bugger is growing, this enclosure should be good for another three months. From there, I'll be transfering it to a 5-Gallon semi-arboreal setup. Hope you enjoyed!!
