yesterday I got three P. irminia. I saw something that didn't look good at all in one of the irminia, it had white stuff all over its fangs. Today I went to go check on it and it was in death curl. I tried to move it and transfer it into ICU. Hours later still in death curl. :( I have not even had it for a full day...Atleast the others are doing fine.
Rest in peace little guy :(

Sorry to hear it. Do you know what was wrong with it? I would contact the dealer and have it replaced (for free of course).

I think it had nematodes but who knows. I've tried contacting him but he hasn't replied back =\ I'll wait some more.

Hopefully he/she sends a replacement irminia and doesnt give you any crap about it. Nematodes sounds about right.

hopefully :) do you think I should still isolate the others away from my t's...they didn't show up with any of the "nematodes".

if it were me , and i got a t in a shipment that had nematodes, I would isolate all of the new ones and pray daily

those things can be spread through out your collection and wipe them out.
Its always best to have a place to isolate them until a molt in your care.

They are alright and who really knows if the irminia even had nematodes. The others are doing great and one is getting ready to molt :)

how long does it usually take for t's to catch nematodes? The other two aren't showing any sighns at all. They are eating and webbing away.

Nematodes

The first one came down with it about a month after I got it then a couple weeks later 3 other T,s that came in that same box got it and then after I separated them right after the first one my P.pulcher got it very highly contagious supposed to be transmitted by phorid flies the very tiny whispy looking ones!I think there are other things that can spred it like not cleaning utinsils and washing hands after coming in contact with an infected T!

The spiders do NOT have nematodes. I bred and raised those spiders myself with never even a molting problem. The nemotades are a BIG unqualified PRESUMPTION on behalf of the OP. There is no evidence to suggest nematodes were ever present. One of the 3 slings I sent Thompson died soon after arrival and he assumed it was due to "nematodes". All 3 spiders were perfectly healthy upon leaving here and he was compensated for his loss.

There has not been any examination or proof positive of any parasites whatsoever present on that animal.

I posted that it probably didn't even have nematodes.
