I bought an AF P. imperator a few weeks ago and I keep her in this 12x8x6 enclosure, on coco fiber. I shower the substrate with a water whenever it starts to look a bit dry, and there is a heat mat on the side. She’s always snuggled up against it. There is also a cork bark hide and a large water bowl.
My only concern is that she hasn’t ever gone into the burrow, instead always being outside. That’s fine with me as long as she’s happy.
I am trying to find a male to pair with her in the near future. That probably means she’ll need something different from this, right? What sort of enclosure should I build for her during her pregnancy? I also assume that if I end up keeping the male, they can’t cohabitate while she’s gravid, right?
