They're native to the Philippines- Cebu Island. Of course they stay close to the ground, which allows cooling in a burrow plus added humidity through digging deeper.

They will dig generally if given the substrate depth. And web everything. The soil on the island is a type of silt coastally, then two clay types. I make sure the bottom layers of sub are decently moist, and top water/overflow the dish in one corner. I've only had this species a short time, though. Emphasis on the 'likes to web' aspect!

I’m a few day’s late to this post, but I do have experience with this species as it was my first OW.

I kept mine in a fossorial setup with moist substrate and a water dish. When I got mine, information on this species seemed to be nonexistent, so raising this species was an experiment. I found that while he burrowed extensively, as he grew he would hang out near the entrance. They do indeed web quite heavily.

While I’m not too sure about their adult size, I don’t remember mine even reaching 3” when he matured out.

I have not been able to see any actual documentation on true adult size ranges so it may or may not actually be a dwarf which I always classify as under and no more than 3in DLS.
