I threw a big moth last night in my Ornamentals cage and it jumped twice in mid air to snatch it. Lighting fast. Kinda scary how fast this thing can move. But man they sure do love moths!

My zebra has jumper from the side of her tank before. I was stunned and worried at the same time as she is somewhat of a fatty. She turned mid air and landed perfectly on her feet and skiddered back into her hide. Since then i have raised the substrate so no matter where she is if she climbs she can always touch the bottom. Unfortunately since then she has dug out one corner of the tank so there is one spot =). I would love to see an ornamental jump at a moth.

peace

She was in the top corner(opposite of the side i opened ) and jumped down towards the moth and missed , then she jumped almost vertical and caught it while landing on the other side of the tank. She jumped about 6" vertical and landed about 4-5" away from where she left. Pretty Neat!!

JUMPERS

Oh Yes, I've seen a mature male formosa jump sideways from leg to leg to bed like Spiderman. Cool!

6" jebus...i thought the max they could get was a few centimeters...hahaha that would be neat to see...could have jumping T contests! ;P

My little A.versicolor and OBT can only get about 1 centimeter airborne...but can hop pretty far off of something...

My formosa is super quick, but I have never seen her jump. Maybe when I move her to a bigger home, I will get the chance to see it.

I have seen my Avics do it many times though.
