i've just captured this lizard and wanna keep him. oriental garden is an invasive species here. any tips for starters? does it need any hideout?
i read some articles that they're originated in afghanistan. the one im having is a baby i guess.Invasive? Where in Indonesia? They are native in Malaysia and Sumatra and found throughout S.E. Asia.
They are hardy, tend to be arboreal, insectivores, diurnal, and prefer warm dry conditions. Probably would like a hide. You should be a little cautious about overfeeding. They aren't likely to refuse a meal but are normally very active. The male's head turns orange-red during mating season. (About now)
