Thinking of setting up a terrarium for dart frogs and orchids, any suggestions on how to get this done, I really think it would be gorgeous. for our purposes lets pretend money isn't a problem.
Black Jungle is a great site to find information about making vivariums. I have a fully planted 55 gallon with D.diadema in it and tropical plants and orchids. One of my friends has fully planted tanks with dart frogs too. The main thing you will need for most of your orchids is a fairly good light, I have a corallife power compact with 4 65 watt 10,00K superdaylight bulbs. Dendrobiums and epidendrums are good orchids to start with, the minature varieties work best. Keep humidity above 70%, temps in the 70-80's, and the lights on for at least 12 hrs a day and you should be fine. Orchids when given the right conditions are very easy to take care of, my tank requires almost no work, once it got established.
Hope this helps,
Mike
