Orbweaver has put it's web in a stupid place - Can I rescue it?

Hey guys,

I located this forum through googling about orbweavers, I will detail my question below:

A large and very beautiful orbweaver has constructed it's web in the waste collection area outside my building. Unfortunately, every time the bin lid is opened, the spiders web dips and the spider almost touches the bin. Basically, I fear that someone will kill it or accidentally destroy the web

What should I do? I had considered keeping the spider as a pet but from my initial research it appears they do not survive in captivity

Any advice greatly appreciated

Away from animals ie humans

A local forest, large garden, nature preserve. Where do you think spiders would prefer to live?? Somewhere with bugs
