Ok. I have had this Orange Baboon since early May, and have not had any problems until today.
I took a look in his cage and noticed that one of his legs had apparently detached from the body. It was hanging in the web.
The entire leg is just gone. Severed or detached from the coxa.
He has not molted, so I don't think that is the cause of this.
The only thing I can think of is that last week, when I cleaned his cage, I used a bleach/water solution. I did not use much bleach at all, and I was very anal about washing the cage off afterwards.
Maybe I did not wash it well enough? Could the bleach have caused this?
I'm at a total loss here. Please help!

IMHO...I doubt it was bleach.

Maybe it was injured when you moved it in/out of the cage and you just didn't notice, so the T cast it off. It happens.

You didn't say how big it is but I'm sure it will replace some if not all of the leg at the next molt. We had an 2" Usambara lose a leg a couple of weeks before a molt and it was replaced at that next molt. There regenerative powers (sp?) are nothing short of amazing.

As long as it isn't 'bleeding' and it is acting normally then you should be fine.
