You can feed them off. Otherwise if you’re looking to breed it or keep it, there’s a subforum that’s better suited for this.

Is this like the movie Beetle Juice where we tag @cold blood three times and he appears?

I guess I’ll take my chances and read the TOS later as to whether or not unjustified mod tagging is a violation. :bookworm:

My tarantula doesn't like super colorful food, and the beetle is red and white.

So he won't eat it.

Not all Ts will eat superworm beetles. It's up to you to experiment with the others. Only got 1 T ? You won't for very long ;)

For the record, my T. albo LOVES the beetles while my B. boehmei won't touch them.

I take them and I offer them to my pulchra. She takes care of them :troll:
Ah I can just picture her cradling them lovingly and hungrily to her chest. A little pedipalp and fang hug. So sweet.

No idea why some will eat whatever and others have refined palettes, but most of my t's won't touch the superworm or mealworm beetles. My g. porteri is picky as crap, and heaven forbid I try to feed her dubias: She'll just cohabitate. She was devastated when Lorraine passed  Don't @ me, that was a joke.

Darkling beetles/superworm beetles are lightly colored (white>red>brown>black) shortly after completing metamorphysis, before they harden fully, so it most likely is a superworm beetle, just one thats fresh out of pupa
