I had my Haplopelma sp. "aureopilosum" out for a walkabout yesterday and it pulled off what has to be the damndest thing I've ever seen. It got spooked and made a dash off my hand, but it leapt off, almost like an Avic-style jump and as it neared the floor I could swear I saw it tuck its legs in, roll over, and then get up and start running again. I suppose my eyes may have deceived me but it looked for all the world like that T did a jump into a forward roll on the carpet. Has anyone else ever seen something like this?
