No Joke! Remember that cockroach I mentioned earlier, the one who was skinny and only ate meat? Well that blaberus giganteus isnt eating as much anymore, not even it's favorite, meat.

I was checking out my colony with a flashlight, and then I saw it, the roach has blue eyes! Well not blue like you think, it's identical to an animals eye that has cataracts, that bluish gray color. My other roaches (nymphs and adults) all have shiny black eyes, so I cant figure out what this means? Does my roach have that virus pillbugs get and they turn purple? The roach has never been outside or exposed to anything else except its fellow roaches.

Is my roach blind?

I was just reading that before roaches are ready to molt, their eyes cloud up, like snakes. Dont know if this is the case, so i'll still post a picture anyway.

Could be ready to molt, it is immature after all. I doubt its something that could be passed on through breeding. It makes me think of the virus that isopods can get that turns them blue. I wonder if there is anything similar in roaches. Maybe it is a condition due to its diet.

It cant be due to diet, because the other roaches in the tank have black eyes and are 100% healthy.

I was thinking about the virus isopods get too, or this roach is ready to molt.
