I run a locat rat rescue--North Texas Rat Rescue--but I have 15 rats of my "own" and have had many others in the past. They are such amazing pets with such individual personalities I thought I'd show some of them off. Also gonna show off some of my cages--they *are* pretty cool if I do say so myself lol.

On topic: you're rats are really cute It's really cool you run a rat rescue. :C I have to wait until I have a place of my own before I even think about getting a pair or trio.

Now THOSE are stimulating, well-planned and generously sized environments for your rats. Good to see someone who really cares about these animals instead of the typical family that impulse-buys the bare minimum at xmastime just to let it all go to waste later.

It's been my experience with rats that when you set them up in cages like you have pictured, they chew everything up and poop/pee on what the don't chew. Do you train yours not to chew and potty train them? If not, then (in my opinion) there is no way they live in those cages and keep them as tidy as they are in those pictures.

We had 19 rats at one point, bred them and also had quite a few rescues over the years too. They're brilliant pets and I miss all of them, just a shame they don't live a lot longer. I'll have rats again at some point.
