The day has come.

I went to FedEx and picked up my box, and followed the directions that the seller gave me along with setting up a enclosure for the extra sling I got. Their names are Hyde (Curly) and Lior (Redknee). I tried giving them gender neutral names the best I could.
Anyways, Lior was very still to the point I thought they may have been in a death curl, I couldn't tell which side was up or bottom, but figured it out when I gently pushed them with a paint brush and they started moving a little. They sat in their box for a little until I left for a while, came back, and they were gone.
Hyde on the other hand lived up to their name. They were EXTREMELY active when I was rehousing them, crawling all over the place and immediately into their habitat I set up for them. They immediately went to "Hyde" and burrowed down, I assume they've had a tiring day and needed some private time. It was a bumpy car ride.

That all being said, Im happy with how today went, they both are seemingly doing fine, no issues so far! Im going to try feeding them on Friday. I heard to let them settle in for a day or two before feeding. Additionally I was sent flightless fruit flies instead of red runners, which I don't mind, but I have no idea how to take care of these. More research is needed.

I hope everyone's day is going as well as mine is : > !

Welcome to the forum. Don’t worry about them moving around a lot for the first few days after you house them that’s normal and they’re just getting used to it.

I’d recommend using the latin names for Ts (Tlitocatl albopilosus and Brachypelma Harmorii) for your Ts as using english names can get confusing.

Finally this beginner guide’s helpful and has good information for beginners. If you have any specific questions search the forum or ask if a question hasn’t been answered before.

Welcome,
and i have to second @Mustafa67, stick to the binomial names, that way you can discuss the spiders with anyone around the globe and there will be no confusion about what species you are talking about

if you start early it will be almost no effort at all and you save yourself from developing bad habits at the same time

if you ever want to read the scientific papers/descriptions/reevaluations etc. about the species you own you can do so in the wsc.nmbe.ch (the world spider catalog), for free, after making an account

it wont help you much with husbandry but perhaps it will still interest you

Welcome to AB 🙂

The first tarantulas you get are and will always be the most exciting when you first start out as it was for me.

I can also say it's still exciting to receive new tarantulas no matter how long someone has been into arachnoculture.

Be warned, it's addictive so my advice starting out is don't get carried away with acquiring more. Sling size is deceiving. Always look at the future for when slings are adults and the bigger enclosures will be required. Do/will you have adequate room for 10 adult tarantula enclosures let alone 30-50, just as an example?

Sure 30 slings in each their own deli cup is easy to accommodate but what about large adult enclosures?

This was one thing I had to take into consideration as I wanted to buy a lot of slings.

Enjoy your new tarantulas they are fascinating animals. I also started with a T. albopilosus.

Welcome to our community. Great picks for first tarantulas. You are in for a ride.

You have come to the best place to get feedback when you have uncertainties.

Once you get extra confident and smooth with your two tarantulas, and think you want a third. Dive into the threads to see what would work for you and what you think youre ready for. If you are.

Two is perfectly respectable too. Especialy if you got the butter and the cream of tarantulas, calm and not hairkickers 🤣.

When you think youve read everything, you will find an obstacle. And we will be here.

Dont underestimate the importance of substrate to ceiling ratio. This is where it can go wrong. Quick. Its not to let to adjust if its off. But judging by your post, these should still be small.

Share some pics with us please! Or your slings, if you took some before they “Hyded” 😊
