Hi, my H.silenus recently molted. Leading up to the molt, and in particular now, I find my scorpion in very strange poses. Scorpion looks like it is trying to 'stretch', as a runner would before running etc.
These poses almost always involve some odd position of the chelicera. Right now the scorpion is in the hide, but posed so his chelicerae are pointed fully straight outward as far as they can go, like he is reaching (the way they kiss during mating). Also his tail is positioned as if he is striking something in his chelicerae (telson is resting on outstretched chelicera) and his tail is straight forward. One claw/arm extended fully open (bear hug style) and the other is next to his mouth.
He would do this as he got closer to moult, but not all that much. Now after molt it seems he has been doing this quite a bit (2.5 weeks since molt). Is this a sign of an issue, or is this normal behavior?
I cant seem to get a pic as he is in the back of his hide; I can see in with a red light, but camera cant pick it up.
