Odd pokie behaviour?

I was wondering if anyone's pokie has ever left its arboreal nature and taken to the ground for a while?

My P. regalis molted on the 18 of December, and yesterday he started hanging around the bottom of his bark-stuff that he is normally on the top of. He has refused food for the last week or so.

Ideas? I don't think it's pre-molt =P

How large is the P.Regalis? I know bother of mine did it and still do sometimes, although they are only 1.5 and 2 inchs.

Our P. ornata will often go and kind of sit on the bottom when he's in premolt - which is actually right now. What makes you think your regalis isn't in premolt?

Lots of arboreals will have terrestrial or burrowing tendencies when slings.

I agree that it may be looking for moisture... is the enclosure sufficiently misted?

In any case... so long as the T isn't in a death curl or acting completely off (as in actual movement, not just hang out spot), I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Poecilotheria of that size will usually spend most of their time at the bottom of their enclosure. It's completey normal.
