It's time to rehouse my p.mirinus into her adult enclosure. Hoping to see some of your set ups for OBT or similar species to get some ideas on how I'll go about it. She's a vigorous webber, and I hope to encourage that. Thanks in advance.

I keep both of mine as fossorial. I love pet holes actually. One of mine is in a ten gallon terrarium with only a half log hide and about 10" of substrate. This one only has webbed up enterance of burrow and the burrow tunnels only. The other one has only about 8" of substrate and has webbed the whole enclosure. I love fossorial and keep both of mine as such. If you wanted to you could keep just like you would a green bottle blue and provide a lot of anchor points for webbing but I personally like the tunnel complexes these guys will build. I have been keeping the obt for 10 years now and its one of my favorite tarantulas I hope you enjoy yours.

one thing I'm currently setting up with my soon to be MF, and ill post pictures once its finished, is a half fossorial and half - GBBish set up.

my plan is to take a larger sterilite tub, making a gradual incline, with a Hide entrance right by the top of the incline to give the T a good 8-10" of substrate to dig through (diagonally) and the other half of the enclosure having ~3-4 inches of substrate, but having plenty of anchor points with some sticks, fake plants, cork pieces, ETC. to see what the T does.

I'm sure the T will elect to go into the hide and dig herself a nice long and deep tunnel, but I'm hoping she will use the extra space and make very nice Webbed up enclosure eventually. it'll be her forever home so eventually I'm sure it will end up webbed nicely.

This is my typical setup for most baboons. These were for H.pulchripes but it'll work for any of them.

The enclosure is 9.5-10 inches deep. I added in 5 inches of the substrate with a nice cork piece, put in at an angle, (that goes almost to the bottom of the enclosure) to make a starter burrow. I then glued fake leaves to the mouth of the cork and the sides of the enclosure to offer a lot of webbing points. A good size condiment cup for water flush with the substrate is the last piece. My baboons usually dug out and set up the burrow. Then they webbed up all around the opening making tunnels and safe spots. It's worked really well for me.

Well, here it is. The transfer could have gone smoother, but no one was hurt. She is seriously the most aggressive spider I've ever dealt with. Thanks for the tips, hopefully she makes it a happy, webbed mess soon.
